Restructuring/Insolvency

Čechová & Partners regularly advises its clients on insolvency and restructuring matters. Its team has participated in long-term assistance provided to co-ordination committee of a group of international banks in financial restructuring and reorganisation of a Slovak largest steel producer. Čechová & Partners has also been involved in the sale of bad debts from major state-controlled Slovak banks through a special-vehicle company. On a regular basis, its team advises clients on lodging of claims in bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, represents clients in creditors’ committees, challenges non-acceptance of filed claims by bankruptcy trustees, represents clients in courts proceedings, etc.

Its team includes a licensed bankruptcy and restructuring trustee registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic and also a specialised trustee registered with the National Bank of Slovakia for regulated financial institutions.
