We understand the energy industry, with our corporate and regulatory lawyers and litigators working together to provide comprehensive counsel to clients, including the oil, natural gas, nuclear and alternative energy sectors. We have extensive experience in the development of large projects and provide services ranging from areas as diverse as licensing, remediation and joint ventures to mergers and acquisitions, project finance and development and tax incentives. We serve as lead counsel for gas contract cases and right-of-way disputes for pipeline clients. We also represents clients in explosion, well blowouts and personal injury suits involving leaks, infrastructure collapses, flash fires and construction defects.

Recent Work Highlights

  • We served as counsel in the development of an electric transmission line from Texas to Mississippi to supply renewable energy (wind power) from the Texas panhandle to southeastern utilities. 
  • During 2016 and 2017, we worked with an energy cooperative on various regulatory matters affecting its electric generating units in Mississippi. 
  • We served as counsel in the project development of an approximate $8 billion liquefied natural gas manufacturing and export terminal.
  • We served as Mississippi counsel in the purchase of a $52 million solar facility.
