Brooks Pierce's team of highly knowledgeable and experienced health care attorneys strive to remain on the cutting edge of the various laws, regulations, and other issues that impact our health care clients. Not only does our team consist of attorneys with a deep experience in the ever-changing world of health care law, but we also collaborate with government relations advisors, litigators, criminal attorneys, and antitrust attorneys to provide a comprehensive package of services for our clients.

Our attorneys provide counsel on regulatory compliance with HIPAA, self-referral laws, facility licensing, billing regulations, Medicare, medical board regulations, Certificate of Need requirements, and other state and federal health care laws. We also prepare, review, and negotiate provider contractual agreements, including joint ventures, service agreements, management agreements, employment agreements, health information exchange agreements, and others. We resolve and litigate disputes between providers, hospitals, patients, and others that involve HIPAA investigations and breaches, False Claims Act lawsuits, insurance fraud, products and professional liability claims, and disciplinary matters before medical boards and licensing agencies. Finally, our practice includes extensive governmental lobbying efforts for health care providers, and the review and drafting of health care legislation and regulation.
