This content is provided by Berger Montague.

Berger Montague has served as lead, co-lead, or co-trial counsel on many of the most significant civil antitrust cases over the last 50 years, including In re Corrugated Container Antitrust Litigation (recovery in excess of $366 million), the Infant Formula case (recovery of $125 million), the Brand Name Prescription Drug price-fixing case (settlement of more than $700 million), and the State of Connecticut Tobacco Litigation (settlement of $3.6 billion).

Berger Montague has also played a principal role in obtaining over $1 billion in settlements from drug companies alleged to have impeded the entry of generics and artificially inflated drug prices.

As a result of our successes and the skill, reputation, and experience of our firm's antitrust lawyers, Berger Montague is routinely appointed by federal courts to serve in leadership roles in complex antitrust class action cases, including in:

  • In re Payment Card Interchange Fee and Merchant Discount Antitrust Litigation, alleging that merchants have been overcharged billions of dollars per year by Visa and MasterCard due to their anticompetitive conduct;
  • In re Dental Supplies Antitrust Litigation, alleging that the three largest dental supplies distributors in the U.S. conspired to restrain trade and fix prices paid by dentists and dental labs for supplies and equipment; and
  • In re Rotavirus Vaccines Antitrust Litigation, alleging that Merck imposed financial penalties on customers who purchased vaccines from Merck's rivals.
