Our attorneys represent real estate clients in acquisition, financing, leasing, condominium structuring and registration, redevelopment, and distressed real estate transactions. We counsel clients and take an active role in projects that serve the larger community.

We often engage in complex real estate financing transactions, including multistate loan portfolios and debt restructurings. We represent institutional lenders and special servicers in distressed real estate matters, including loan restructurings, workouts, and asset acquisitions and dispositions. Housing Group attorneys represent borrowers and more than a dozen lenders under all of the multifamily programs of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and HUD. We work with our Tax Credit Group in complex capital stack transactions utilizing New Markets Tax Credits, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, and/or various other state, federal, and local financing incentives and programs.

Our zoning and land use practice is complemented by an active government relations practice. We represent clients throughout the approval process and regularly appear before administrative agencies and courts. We handle major tax appeals regarding pharmaceutical headquarters, power plants, office buildings, shopping centers, oil refineries, manufacturing facilities, and apartment complexes.
