Baker Donelson's nationally recognized Health Law Group includes more than 200 attorneys across 12 states and the District of Columbia. We deliver comprehensive regulatory, transactional, and policy counsel to clients across the health care sector, including hospitals, academic medical centers, behavioral health companies, senior and long-term care providers, clinical laboratories, pharmacies, digital health enterprises, federally qualified health centers, and a variety of health-related organizations.

We provide strategic guidance on compliance programs, fraud and abuse laws (including Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute), Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and reimbursement, licensing and accreditation, HIPAA and other data privacy laws, AI-driven technologies, care coordination arrangements, internal investigations, and corporate governance. Our attorneys also assist with audits, voluntary repayments, and disciplinary proceedings.

Our transactional team advises on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, real estate and facility development, financing and capital formation, and vendor contracting all with a focus on regulatory compliance. On the policy front, we advocate before federal and state agencies and provide strategy around legislative and regulatory developments. We are proud to count five former American Health Lawyers Association presidents among our ranks, and numerous attorneys recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, and Modern Healthcare.
