Energy Projects
ARIFA has long provided legal services and advice to local, international and multilateral lenders, sponsors and project companies, in all major wind power, hydropower, and photovoltaic power renewable energy projects in the Republic of Panama.
The firm is a regular counsel in the international financing of energy projects in Panama and the region; in all three important energy sectors: transmission, distribution and generation.

LNG Costa Norte project, the single largest natural gas powered generation facility complex ever built in Panama; phase I and II of the largest active wind generation project in Panama and Central America sponsored by Goldwind and UEP; all major hydroelectric projects in Panama, including Fortuna, AES, Bahia Las Minas, Elektra, and Edemet-Edechi.
ARIFA has acted as legal counsel to the sole oil refinery that operated in Panama for nearly fifty years. The firm currently represents operators and users of pipelines and tank farms, users of oil free zone facilities, operators and users of port and marine terminals, gasoline distributors, industry suppliers and lenders.
