About

Provided by Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP

The charities team at ACS is known for:

  • Faith-based charities work;
  • National and International charity work – particularly social care charities; and
  • Financing for charities (grant work, social investment and secured lending).

The firm has developed its charity work over the past year by becoming a leading voice on fundraising issues for national and international charities.

Our financing for charities work has also expanded as it now acts for more ethical lending banks, is involved in innovative social investment funds, works on property finance developments for charities and community share issues. These all enable charities to pursue their mission and involve complex governance advice in the context of borrowing as well as the support of experts in property, construction, funding and social business.

The firm has also expanded its work with the Charity Commission as Interim Managers and John Wearing (Partner) was appointed to the Charity Commission as a registered Interim Manager, joining Phil Watts, Edwina Turner and Sarah Tomlinson (all of whom have been appointed interim charity managers by the Charity Commission in 2019).
