On August 4, 2026, Yoon & Yang LLC announced the hire of Spencer G. Park, a California-qualified seasoned attorney, as a Senior Foreign Attorney, to its Corporate Advisory Group, further strengthening the firm's capabilities in cross-border mergers & acquisitions, overseas investments, joint ventures, international real estate transactions and project finance.
Mr. Park brings nearly 30 years of experience advising multinational corporations, financial institutions and investors on complex cross-border transactions across Asia and other global markets. His practice covers international M&A, private equity investments, cross-border financing, real estate acquisitions and development projects.
Before joining Yoon & Yang, Mr. Park served as Special Counsel at Milbank LLP's Seoul office from 2022 to 2026, where he advised Korean corporations, financial institutions and investors on overseas M&A transactions, financing and real estate investments. Earlier, he served as Counsel at Dechert LLP's Hong Kong office from 2018 to 2022, representing clients from Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and other Asian jurisdictions in private equity, finance and real estate transactions.
Mr. Park also served as a Senior Foreign Attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC from 2017 to 2018, advising international private equity funds, multinational corporations, investment banks and leading Korean financial institutions on domestic and cross-border investments and transactions. During his tenure, he was also a founding member of the firm's Hong Kong office. In addition, he gained extensive experience at leading international law firms in the United States, Hong Kong and Japan.
Beyond private practice, Mr. Park has held senior legal and executive positions at global investment firms, giving him first-hand experience in executing investments as well as structuring transactions. He served as APAC General Counsel at Apollo Global Management from 2012 to 2016 and General Counsel at Asia Pacific Land Limited from 2008 to 2012, where he oversaw legal matters relating to investments, real estate development and investment projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
He also served as Vice President at Capmark Japan KK from 2007 to 2008 and Citigroup Principal Investments Japan from 2005 to 2007, where he was directly involved in real estate finance and investment execution.
Mr. Park's unique combination of law firm advisory experience and in-house investment leadership enables him to advise clients throughout the entire investment lifecycle, from transaction structuring to execution and post-closing risk management, which has become an increasingly valuable capability for cross-border transactions.
Mr. Park received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and his A.B., magna cum laude, in Economics and East Asian Studies from Harvard University. He is admitted to practice law in California (1999), is registered as a Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong (2012), and has been registered as a Foreign Legal Consultant with the Korean Bar Association since 2023.
At Yoon & Yang, Mr. Park will advise multinational corporations, Korean companies and domestic and international financial institutions on overseas M&A, private equity investments, international real estate transactions and cross-border investments.
