About Business Ready (B-READY)
B-READY is the World Bank Group's flagship report comparing the business environment and investment climate of economies worldwide. It replaces the World Bank's earlier Doing Business project. It covers ten topics and scores each of them on regulatory framework, public services and operational efficiency. Financial Services is one of the ten topics and includes commercial lending, electronic payments, secured transactions and credit reporting.
The World Bank Group collects the data through expert questionnaires and firm-level surveys. For electronic payments, the 2026 questionnaire examines the rules applying to payment service providers, including risk management, operational resilience, consumer protection, transparency, interoperability and supervisory oversight.
The World Bank Group plans to publish the B-READY 2026 report later in 2026, and ECOVIS ProventusLaw will share the report's key findings for Lithuania.
