Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2014, they began their careers as lawyers at Woods and have contributed significantly over the years to some of the firm's most important and sensitive files.
Alexandre Baril-Furino has a diversified practice gravitating around civil and commercial litigation and arbitration. As a litigator and strong team leader, he leads high-stakes litigation matters in the areas of professional liability and directors' liability (D&O), contractual disputes, competition, real estate and construction litigation. Alexandre advises and represents our clients in complex and sensitive business contexts, as well as in injunction matters, both on the plaintiff and defendant side. Alexandre is also a mediator accredited by the Quebec Bar and a lecturer at McGill University.
Sebastian L. Pyzik is a versatile and effective litigator who represents public and private companies and their officers, directors and shareholders in major, sensitive, reputational or otherwise strategic civil and commercial disputes. He also regularly acts for clients facing construction and real estate disputes, including in the context of large-scale projects such as public-private partnerships. His practice also includes handling injunctions and urgent applications, reputational matters and sports-related files. Sebastian holds a Master's degree in Business Administration, teaches at the École du Barreau and is actively involved with The Advocates’ Society.
