The firm has assisted Wind Point alongside Reed Smith LLP (U.S. co-counsel) in a transaction which consisted in Wind Point acquiring control of a top-level company known as “U.S. Nonwovens Corp” (hereinafter referred to as “U.S. Nonwovens”). Furthermore, in order to acquire the control of U.S. Nonwovens, Wind Point acquired the major membership interest of U.S. Nonwovens and as consequence, Wind Point owns direct control over all of U.S. Nonwovens subsidiaries.
Additionally, U.S. Nonwovens corporate group consists of 7 (seven) subsidiaries; 2 (two) of which are located in Mexico City (hereinafter referred to as “Mexican Subsidiaries”). Also, U.S. Nonwovens manufactures and distributes private- label products for leading big box retailers, as well as manufacturing products for consumer food giants such as Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever and Walmart, among other retailing chains. Moreover, the manufacturing products include baby wipes, acne and hemorrhoid treatments, cosmetics, detergents, sponges and adult incontinence remedies.
Likewise, U.S. Nonwovens owns 9 (nine) factories, sales offices and distribution centers worldwide, establishing its headquarters in Suffolk County, New York, with about 1,000 (one thousand) employees, as well as operations in Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Mexico, where a total of 600 (six hundred) people currently work.
With the acquisition of U.S. Nonwovens by Wind Point, U.S. Nonwovens will expand its portfolio of brand-new name products, which now include Ajax Laundry, Fab, Dynamo, Final Touch and Bloom Baby.
