Attorney at Law Edvardas Racius, who brings 14 years of experience resolving complex, high-value business disputes, is joining WALLESS Disputes Resolution team. His experience is particularly relevant for companies operating in the infrastructure, environmental, waste management, construction, energy and transport sectors, where disputes can have a direct impact on project timelines, cash flow, reputation and business value.
"In a complex dispute, strong legal arguments alone are not enough. It is important for the client to understand the consequences of every decision – whether it is worth going into a dispute, when it is better to negotiate, which risks can be taken on and which cannot. My goal is to understand the client's business in depth, build a clear dispute strategy, and help the client make decisions that protect the interests of the business," says Edvardas Racius.
Edvardas developed this approach while working on proceedings before Lithuanian and European Union courts, as well as in international arbitration. His professional background combines private practice with experience as an in-house lawyer. "Working within a business organisation allowed me to see disputes from the client’s side – where what matters is not only legal precision, but also whether a decision can actually be implemented in practice," he says.
"In business disputes, the outcome is determined by the personal dedication of the partner leading the dispute and the combined experience of the team. By building a strong disputes practice team, we aim to offer clients effective strategies and ensure flawless management of dispute proceedings. Edvardas's unique experience will be a significant addition to our team in the environmental, waste management, construction, infrastructure, energy and transport sectors," says Dr Simona Drukteinienė, WALLESS Partner and Head of the Disputes Resolution practice group.
"In a legal services market shaped by artificial intelligence, the need for strong, experienced individuals has become especially apparent. Only highly experienced people can help businesses make decisions in critical situations by drawing on the enormous analytical potential of AI. That is why it is important for us to strengthen our team with people who have extensive experience working with people and see the broad business context. As one of the largest business law firms in the Baltic States, bringing together more than 190 experts, we offer businesses strategically important services of the highest competence in Mergers and Acquisitions, Banking and Finance, Real Estate, Energy, Defence and Security, Competition, Tax, Public Procurement, Capital Markets and, of course, Dispute Resolution," shares Dovilė Burgienė, WALLESS Managing Partner of Lithuania.
