Vernalha Pereira publicly reaffirms its responsibility and commitment to act to promote equity within its internal scope, considering gender identity, race, and sexuality, as well as to encourage and contribute to the development of diversity and inclusion values throughout society. To this end, it announces the creation of working groups within the Equaliza Committee, founded and active since 2021, with the following general objectives:
I. Promote an inclusive, diverse, and egalitarian corporate environment, free from any form of discrimination or unjust disparity, such as those that affect women, Black individuals, and LGBTI+ people;
II. Disseminate a culture of repudiation and combat against discrimination and the structures that embed it in society, upholding human rights and social responsibility;
III. Implement management practices focused on promoting equity, aimed at attracting candidates for selection processes, as well as ensuring the training and hierarchical advancement of professionals;
IV. Develop concrete policies to confront and prevent forms of violence and discrimination, both within and outside the corporate environment;
V. Execute actions, debates, and training to sensitize and educate our professionals about the benefits and challenges of implementing equity;
VI. Contribute to changing the social, economic, and political landscape of underrepresentation of women, Black individuals, and LGBTI+ people, influencing best practices and working towards this goal in civil society.
Thus, Vernalha Pereira reaffirms its defense of the rights of all individuals, without discrimination, and its commitment to promoting equity. The developed actions and observed progress will be described and duly shared internally and, where applicable, externally.
