Valeriia Gudiy, Partner at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, was elected to the European Business Association HR Committee Board for 2024.
The EBA HR Committee was established in 2001 to promote the updating of labor legislation and the development of legal acts to improve and regulate labor relations, as well as the development and implementation of pension insurance. Every year, up to 5 members are elected to the Committee Board, which determines its main areas of activities.
“In 2024 it is very important to help employers to outline their planning horizon and anticipate upcoming changes in legislation as Ukraine paves its way to the EU. I am eager to champion strategies that empower companies and their forward-thinking HR professionals to thrive amidst these challenges”, said Valeriia Gudiy.
Valeriia Gudiy’s top priorities for work within the EBA HR Committee Board are:
· Helping to implement EU Directives and practices to the labor relations in Ukraine with the help of the voice of EBA;
· Increase implementation and additional oversight by the member companies over their employees conducting under anticorruption and compliance policies;
· Promoting workplace rehabilitation and reintegration programs for ex-combatants.
Established in 1999, the European Business Association provides a forum in which members can discuss and find solutions to common problems affecting business in Ukraine. This initiative was initially supported by the European Commission and has grown to become one of the largest and most influential business communities in the country.
