CDP Venture Capital SGR, through its “Fondo Evoluzione,” acting as lead investor, participated in a €5 million Series B investment round in the share capital of UpSurgeOn S.r.l., an Italian deep-tech company focused on developing high-tech solutions for surgical training based on hybrid simulation and digital platforms.
UpSurgeOn, founded by a multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, engineers, and digital creators, develops hyper-realistic models, hybrid simulators, and immersive tools that combine virtual reality with advanced physical models, with the aim of making surgical training more accessible, sustainable, and accurate on a global scale.
The round also saw participation, as follower investors, from Simest S.p.A. (through the 394/81 Fund – Participatory Investments and Venture Capital Section), Deep Ocean Capital SGR S.p.A. (through the Deep Blue Ventures Fund), Azimut Libera Impresa SGR S.p.A. (on behalf of the Azimut ELTIF – Venture Capital Alicrowd III and Alicrowd IV funds), and FBH S.p.A.
