HOUSTON – AZA name partner Todd Mensing has been named to Lawdragon’s list of The 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Environmental Lawyers – The Green 500.

Lawdragon says honorees are “lawyers who spend their lives helping address our world, whether on behalf of a corporation that delivers energy or develops homes, or an organization that fights for endangered species and to protect open land.” Those honored were chosen with “journalistic reporting, nominations and vetting with peers and experts in environmental law.”

Mr. Mensing, who focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, was honored for the third year for his work in environmental litigation. He is recognized among the top lawyers in the nation for commercial litigation and construction litigation by The Best Lawyers in America and board certified in civil trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Mensing’s environmental litigation experience includes defending a midstream energy company in a $100 million contamination suit brought by the state of New Jersey; defending the same company against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in a $50 million MTBE contamination suit; defending a downstream energy company in a $100 million contamination suit; and achieving a walk-away settlement for a midstream company in a $30 million indemnity dispute relating to wetlands contamination.
