Tobar ZVS is pleased to announce the promotion of Juan Fernando Larrea to the position of Partner with the firm. Mr Larrea will be leading the newly created Environmental & Sustainability practice group.
Juan Fernando Larrea joined the firm in 2009. Since then, he has been instrumental in the growth of the firm’s energy and mining unit and client portfolio, which has seen the firm advising on major mining and infrastructure projects in Ecuador. He plays a key role in advising clients on environmental regulation and compliance. Recent clients include SolGold, Lumina Gold, Aurania Resources and Minera Mesaloma.

Mr Larrea studied law at the University de Las Americas in Ecuador and obtained a post-graduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He is recognised by the Legal 500 as Rising Star and by Chambers and Partners as an Associate to Watch.
