Thomson Geer has bolstered its Sydney construction team with the appointment of specialist construction disputes lawyer Jack Fan as a Partner.

Jack has significant experience in complex disputes involving major public infrastructure, having acted on some of the largest public infrastructure projects in New South Wales, including the Sydney Metro Northwest and City and Southwest projects, Parramatta Light Rail, a number of stages of the WestConnex motorway, the NorthConnex motorway, and various rollingstock projects.

In addition to public infrastructure, Jack’s practice also includes large scale renewable energy infrastructure, utilities projects, and residential and commercial developments (including cladding).

Thomson Geer Chief Executive Partner Adrian Tembel welcomed Jack to the firm.

“Jack has excellent technical skills that will complement the expertise and experience of our Sydney construction team,” he said.

“The team are strong collaborators and often present to the market as a cohesive group demonstrating the depth and breadth of Thomson Geer’s expertise. This approach has been successful in the market and will only get stronger with the addition of Jack.”

Jack said he was excited to be joining Thomson Geer and looking forward to partnering with the Sydney construction team.

“The infrastructure sector has a long and deep pipeline of significant projects.  Thomson Geer has built a strong construction practice in Sydney to assist with that work, and I am very excited to be joining the Thomson Geer team” he said.

Thomson Geer’s construction team was strengthened last year with the hiring of Partner Franco Aversa and Consultant Geoff Wood, both leading lawyers from Baker McKenzie.
