Thomson Geer has acted for Synergy Business Systems, an Australian construction and industrial supply group, in its acquisition of WA-based Rudd Industrial. The TG team conducted due diligence, drafted business sale and purchase agreement documentation and provided document and coordination assistance to facilitate financial close of the deal.
Synergy has implemented a steady acquisitions program since 2014 which led to Synergy being acquired by leading diverse industrials business, Metal Manufactures in April 2022.
The acquisition of the Rudd Industrial business is Synergy's second since the Metal Manufactures transaction, and forms part of its strategic ambitions to expand its portfolio of 28 owned stores through further bolt on acquisitions. It also represents a significant expansion in Synergy's coverage in the Western Australian market.
