Thomson Geer congratulates Adelaide Football Club (AFC) on commencing construction on its new $100 million bespoke training, administration and community headquarters at Adelaide's Thebarton Oval.

The club has partnered with South Australian building company Tandem Building Group to construct a 150-metre long, two-storey building wrapping around the oval.

Thomson Geer advised AFC on the preparation of and negotiation of the contracts to construct the facility and secure a 42-year lease from the City of West Torrens for the land for the development.

Finalisation of the building contract was an important and final step in the club's plans to create a new facility that will serve the club and community for many years.

“Perseverance has paid off and we’re excited to finally get on-site and as planned, begin works later this month,” AFC Chairman John Olsen said in a media release.

Thomson Geer Partners Tony Saint and Shannon Schwarz were pleased to assist AFC on achieving this milestone.
