Thomson Gear advised Maret on its acquisition of the wireless network of Spirit Technology Solution

Thomson Geer advised wholesale internet provider Maret Infrastructure on its acquisition of the fixed wireless network of Spirit Technology Solution in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria for A$21 million. The network delivers enterprise grade services running on the 5, 24, 60 and 80 GHz unlicensed spectrum. The network offers up to 1 Gbps symmetrical speeds, perfect for businesses who want fast, reliable Internet.

The acquisition expand Maret's internet capability in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria and facilitate Maret's roll out of its 5G internet and data services.

It follows the acquisitions by Maret of 5G spectrum in early 2021 and of Freedom Internet in September 2021, a high speed network that provides internet services to over 350 apartment buildings in Qld, NSW, Victoria and SA. Thomson Geer advised on the Freedom Internet acquisition.
