Ten AZA lawyers have earned recognition for 2021 by Texas Super Lawyers, and four have made the Top 100 list.
AZA co-founders Joe Ahmad and John Zavitsanos are once again being honored among the top 100 lawyers in Texas for their noteworthy trial skills. Mr. Zavitsanos was chosen for his business litigation work and Mr. Ahmad was selected for his expertise in labor and employment law. Name partners Amir Alavi and Demetrios Anaipakos made the top 100 Houston list, both recognized for their business litigation work.
Also earning Super Lawyers recognition for business litigation expertise are partners Sammy Ford IV, Todd Mensing and Tim Shelby and of counsel Shawn Bates and David Warden. Earning recognition for her appellate work is of counsel JoAnn Storey.
Mr. Ford earned rare double honors by being selected earlier this year among the Top 100 Texas “Up & Coming” lawyers on Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list of early-career attorneys. Mr. Ford was one of 11 AZA Rising Stars honorees recognized in March. That honor goes to practitioners age 40 or younger or who have been in practice no more than 10 years.
