Jansen is one of the largest Polish importers of cheese and other premium dairy products, having more than 20 years of experience in the food industry, and from being placed in the largest hyper and supermarket chains, has launched around 500 exclusive products on the Polish market. Kochański & Partners advised Jansen’s shareholder on the structuring and execution of a management buyout.

Management buyout – a robust plan and an effective implementation

Kochański & Partners had a broad remit including supporting Jansen’s founder and CEO during transaction structuring, financial modelling, negotiating the commercial terms of the transaction and drafting the legal documentation.

Kochański & Partners’ advisory team was coordinated by Szymon Balcerzak, Partner and Head of Transaction Advisory and Analysis, and Paweł Mardas, Partner from the M&A and Private Equity practices.

This is yet another transaction we have handled in a comprehensive transactional and legal capacity, supporting clients with both business and financial arrangements, and legal matters. We are delighted to have the opportunity to work closely with the founders of such strong Polish companies. We believe Jansen’s new corporate structure will facilitate its further success, ensuring its stronger performance and wider expansion into new markets,” comments Szymon Balcerzak.

Jansen’s mission has always been to provide Polish consumers with original and exclusive dairy products such as cheese, yoghurt, pasta, butter and other products from European countries including France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Greece, England, Ireland, Bulgaria and Germany. The Jansen brand was established in 2001, and owing to its long-standing cooperation with European producers has been able to place around 500 unique premium products on the Polish market.
