Stikeman Elliott welcomes eight lawyers to the partnership

Stikeman Elliott, a global leader in Canadian business law, is pleased to announce that the following eight individuals were invited to join the partnership as of January 1, 2022:

Alethea Au is a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group in Toronto. She has counselled corporate and private equity clients in complex matters related to mergers and acquisitions in respect of structuring, risk mitigation, divestitures, minority and majority investments, use of representation and warranty insurance and related transactional and transitional issues.

Angela Crimeni is a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group in Vancouver. She has a broad litigation practice focused on corporate and commercial disputes involving contract law, employment agreements, securities regulation, real estate, bankruptcy and insolvency, administrative law and various other commercial issues.

Michael Decicco is a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets Groups in Toronto. He has significant experience representing clients on complex M&A transactions (including SPAC qualifying transactions), minority and majority investments and strategic transactions across a range of industries.

Mark Firman is a member of the Tax and Pensions & Benefits Groups in Montréal. He advises on all aspects of pension and executive compensation law, including pension fund investments; plan governance and administration issues; stock option and other equity-based incentive plans; and corporate governance relating to executive compensation design and disclosure.

Kevin Guenther is a member of the Tax and Corporate Groups in Calgary. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, tax structuring, as well as general corporate and tax matters. His clients include publicly listed and private entities, multinational companies, and Canadian, U.S. and global private equity funds.

Sinziana Hennig is a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group in Toronto. She has a broad commercial litigation practice, including complex contract disputes, class actions, competition litigation, securities litigation, and shareholder disputes. She has significant experience defending multi-jurisdictional and cross-border class actions, including cases involving competition, securities, consumer protection and franchise law.

Nathalie Nouvet is a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group in Montréal. Her practice focuses on restructuring, insolvency, and commercial litigation. She regularly advises and represents debtors, secured lenders, court-appointed officers and purchasers in proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.

Aaron Vieira is a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets and Securities Groups in Toronto. His practice focuses on business law, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions (both private and public), corporate finance, securities law, corporate governance and general corporate and commercial law.
