Lawyer Natalia Serro Mies has just joined Souto Correa's labor team.
Natalia, who holds a master's degree in Law from PUCRS, has more than 15 years of experience in the labor area and experience in large Brazilian and multinational companies in advisory and litigation management issues, as well as in the management of demands before the Labor Prosecution Office, actions to reduce labor liabilities and collective bargaining, among others.

A multidisciplinary team dedicated to business. Souto Correa's labor practice includes the management of judicial and administrative litigation, with a structure to manage, throughout the national territory, ordinary and strategic labor lawsuits, such as complaints filed by executives, public-interest civil actions, class actions filed by unions, actions for damages arising from occupational accidents, occupational diseases and arbitration proceedings.
Our team conducts the defense of companies in administrative procedures promoted by the Ministry of Labor, such as preparatory procedures, civil investigations and monitoring of Conduct Adjustment Terms, as well as inspections by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on various topics, such as jobs reservation for people with disabilities or apprentices, moral harassment, outsourcing, collective dismissals and working hours.
In the advisory area, the team works with a focus on identifying potential liabilities and implementing legal solutions aimed at improving companies' internal practices and policies, proposing creative solutions to align clients' interests and strategies with Brazilian legislation. The team specializes in the review of labor practices to adapt the company's routines to “eSocial”, General Data Protection Law ("LGPD"), review of labor liabilities, due diligences in merger and acquisition (M&A) operations, review and writing of contracts, policies and codes of conduct, advice on hiring foreign employees, expatriation, implementation of hybrid and remote work models, structuring of remuneration and benefits, alternative forms of hiring and in-company training on labor law.
The performance includes the management of relationships with unions and collective bargaining on the most varied topics, such as work shifts, workday compensation, profit sharing and collective dismissals.
