SOLCARGO continues to strengthen its practice through the incorporation of Omar Aguilar Medrano to our family of experts in the Transactional and Corporate practice as a partner of the Firm, thus increasing the total number of partners to 11 as of July 1st, 2020.
Omar has more than 20 years of experience, mainly in the practice of business law, specializing in financial and commercial transactions; in the negotiation and structuring of contracts, partnerships, mergers and acquisitions where he has represented both domestic and foreign companies. He has participated in the creation of various financial and investment instruments in the debt and capital markets in Mexico and the United States, and has been involved in the design and implementation of various schemes for the control and management of transactional and corporate risks.
Omar has been a Foreign Legal Consultant authorized by The Law Society of British Columbia; member, among others, of the Mexican Bar Association, the American Bar Association (ABA), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the British Insurance Law Association (BILA), the Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries (CSCS) and the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). He has also participated as speaker and professor in various institutions of higher education.
