Sergio Oquendo Heraud joins Muñiz, Olaya, Meléndez, Castro, Ono & Herrera Abogados as a senior partner and director of the Finance, Capital Markets and Banking Practice Group. Sergio graduated in law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru School of Law and earned an LL.M. from Columbia University, New York. He has worked as a foreign associate for the prestigious law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy (New York).

Segio is a transactional attorney specialized in M&A, lending, project development and finance, capital markets and cross-border transactions; with extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams, and interacting with global companies, financial institutions, investment funds and law firms in the structuring, negotiation and closing of multi-jurisdictional deals in English and Spanish. He has participated in many of the most relevant transactions in Peru with an aggregate value of several billions of dollars in sectors such as Oil & Gas (Camisea Project), mining, forestry, energy, agribusiness and hospitality. 

He has also worked as a partner and member of the Banking and Finance practice group of CMS Grau.
