On 28 November 2022, Agence Française de Développement (French Development Agency, AFD) and Ukraine signed a EUR 100 million credit facility agreement providing for a loan for the account of the French State and at the demand of the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Recovery. This credit facility increases the aggregate amount of AFD’s financing provided to Ukraine in 2022 to EUR 400 million and aims at supporting Ukraine in addressing its essential public services needs and maintaining key macroeconomic balances in the context of major humanitarian and economic crises.

Sayenko Kharenko has acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to French Development Agency in connection with this financing. The project team was led by partner Anton Korobeynikov and included associates Oles Trachuk and Oleksandr Motin.
