Sayenko Kharenko acted as a legal advisor to Philip Morris Ukraine PJSC on its cooperation with Imperial Tobacco Production Ukraine JSC. The scope of work of the Sayenko Kharenko team included legal and tax consulting on the operating model, as well as preparing a complete package of contracts to regulate all aspects of cooperation between the companies (the terms of cooperation are confidential).

Partner Vitaliy Odzhykovskyy comments: “Joint efforts of Sayenko Kharenko and in-house legal team allowed Philip Morris to resume production of cigarettes under its own brands, in this case at the Imperial Tobacco factory in Kyiv. This move helps to meet the needs of consumers of Philip Morris products when production at the factory in the Kharkiv region is halted. This deal also secures jobs, improves supplies to the Ukrainian market and contributes to the payment of taxes to the state budget.”

Sayenko Kharenko team was led by partner Vitaliy Odzhykovskyy with support from counsel Oleg Klimchuk, and associates Kateryna Mytsykova and Ivan Chopyk.
