Russell-Cooke has welcomed back to the firm public law specialist Tom Bradford in a new role as Legal Counsel.

Tom was formerly an associate at Russell-Cooke and returns after some years as a partner in a national firm where he specialised in public law, and particularly immigration. He was previously based in Russell Cooke's regulatory team, working with Senior Partner John Gould on some of the firm's most challenging and complex cases.

Tom is a barrister who worked as a government lawyer on a range of high-profile matters before entering private practice. As such, his new role as Legal Counsel at Russell-Cooke will see him called in to assist across a range of cases. This will enhance and complement the firm’s current work on complex, multifaceted litigation and advisory matters.

Tom's areas of expertise include public law, public international law, regulatory and immigration law and he has particular experience working with entrepreneurs and business owners as well as professionals.

Tom Bradford said: "I’m delighted to be back at Russell-Cooke. I feel my range of expertise will be put to excellent use as I hope to be called on to advise on a broad range of issues. It is typically far-sighted of the firm to see the value that I can offer in this new and exciting role.

Senior Partner John Gould said: "We know Tom well and have always admired his intellect, energy and innovation. He already has a significant profile in his immigration law specialisation and I’m sure he will be an important catalyst for the further development of other complex and sophisticated areas of our practice.”

Tom will be working with partners from practices including immigration and employment, public law and regulation.
