Law firm Russell-Cooke has announced the arrival of Clare Jeffries as a partner in its Private Client team. She will join the firm's Bedford Row office on 2 November 2020. Clare was previously a partner at Goodman Derrick.

Clare's practice encompasses the full spectrum of Wills, trusts and probate including estate planning and administration. She is a Chartered Tax Advisor and principally advises on Inheritance Tax planning both domestically and cross-border. She also has experience putting in place Lasting Powers of Attorney and making applications to the Court of Protection.

She is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, the Chartered Institute of Taxation and is a recommended adviser for Mencap.

Clare's arrival is part of a wider programme of investment by the firm into its private client presence. This latest hire follows a number of recent additions to the team, including the recruitment of senior associate Suzanne Mynors in February 2020, partner Julie Mann in March 2020 and the promotions on 1 July 2020 of both Christopher Salomons to partner and Carly Argent to senior associate.

Rebecca Fisher, partner in the Private Client team, said:

"Having worked with Clare in a previous life I am particularly pleased to welcome her to Russell-Cooke. Clare’s wealth of experience and her dedication to clients will be invaluable. Russell-Cooke’s private client team is based on strong personal relationships, our commitment to client confidentiality and the fact that we are more than just legal advisers to our clients."

Clare Jeffries added:

"I am delighted to join Russell-Cooke’s strong private client offering. This team is known for both its domestic and cross-border expertise and has built up a fantastic client base thanks to its dedication to outstanding client care.
