Rubio Leguía Normand acted as legal counsel to Banco General in the amendment of an existing loan to Pesquera Diamante, increasing the total financing to US$ 10,100,000. The transaction involved the disbursement of an additional amount and modifications to key financial terms.
The financing is backed by a trust over fishing vessels, ensuring structured collateral for the lender. The amendment also included changes to the frequency of principal and interest payments and adjustments to the 6-month SOFR interest rate calculation.
The Rubio Leguía Normand team was led by partner Andrés Kuan-Veng, with the support of partner Luis Ernesto Marín and senior associate Sheerley Cárdenas.
