White and Williams congratulates Rochelle Gumapac on her election as President of the Defense Counsel of Delaware (DCD). Rochelle is Managing Partner of the firm’s Rhode Island Office and the firm’s first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer.
Rochelle, who previously served as the organization’s Vice President, as well as the Delaware State Representative of Defense Research Institute (DRI), will use her extensive experience to further the DCD’s goal of promoting justice, professionalism and integrity in the judicial system.
In order to accomplish this goal, the DCD works to bring together attorneys that show dedication to the defense of civil action by hosting community service events and networking opportunities to share their message.
Championing several diversity-inspiring initiatives in her professional career, Rochelle will strive to improve this organization each day by creating a safe space for mentorship and setting a strong example for junior attorneys.
She is also an active member in several other organizations such as the International Association of Defense Counsel and the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group.
