recently presented a seminar for the Transportation Research Board on financially responsible procurement processes for airports.

The presentation featured research conducted in part by Alfert from the Airport Cooperative Research Program’s : Procurement of Airport Development and Planning Contracts and : Contract Risk Management for Airport Agreements. It offered a closer look at procurement processes, laws and considerations for airports.

Alfert is co-chair of the Construction Law and Litigation department. He is also a Florida Bar Board Certified Attorney in Construction Law and a Construction Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.

Alfert has been actively involved as counselor on some of the state’s largest infrastructure, transportation and development projects. His expertise in construction law derives from his education and prior work experience in architecture, in addition to more than 20 years of handling complex construction matters and other technical litigation matters, including intellectual property and trade secret disputes.

Corona is a member of the firm’s Construction Law and Litigation department and has been actively involved in the public bid and proposal sector on some of the state’s largest infrastructure, transportation and development projects. She is admitted to practice in Florida and New York and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and U.S. District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
