DZP and BIM Klaster have assisted PwC, with the support of the European Commission, in developing for the Ministry of Development a "Roadmap for the implementation of BIM methodology in public procurement" together with templates of BIM documents in a joint project "Digitisation of the construction process in Poland".
The document, which is to serve as a starting point for the development of a detailed BIM Implementation Strategy in Poland, sets out a potential plan for measures that will lead to the implementation of BIM methodology in public procurement procedures in the construction industry. In view of the recommended approach, PUSH-PULL refers not only to the public procurement sector, but also to steps taken (that have to be taken) in the private sector.
The roadmap includes:
- an analysis of how BIM is introduced in selected countries
- an analysis of key documents and strategic initiatives in Poland
- BIM legal framework – current situation
- a matrix of the elements of the strategy for implementing BIM in Poland
- a timeline for matrix knots
- success criteria.
In the project and with the close involvement of stakeholders, a set of documents has also been developed, comprising BIM document templates, including:
- BIM lexicon
- discussion of the BIM Requirements (EIR) template
- BIM Requirements (EIR) template
- discussion of the BIM Plan (BEP) template
- BIM Plan (BEP) template
- table of production and supply models. Template, discussion, example.
- BIM annex to the contract.
