Berlin, 4 March 2022 - Raue advised Zeitsprung on the production of the feature film "Lieber Thomas" (Dear Thomas). The film has been shortlisted for the German Film Award.
"Lieber Thomas" is a film biography by Andreas Kleinert about the writer and filmmaker Thomas Brasch, played by Albrecht Schuch. Produced by Zeitsprung Pictures in co-production with NDR, BR, WDR and Arte, the feature film depicts the life of Thomas Brasch. When Soviet tanks rolled through Prague in 1968, Brasch demonstrated with other students on the streets of Berlin. Betrayed by his father to the Stasi, he serves a prison sentence and is released on parole. From then on, he writes about love, revolution and death. With no prospect of being heard in the GDR, Brasch leaves the country. In the West he is celebrated and his books become bestsellers.
The feature film "Lieber Thomas" was awarded in the category "Best Film" and "Best Actor" at the Black Nights Festival in Tallinn in 2021.
