Quisumbing Torres announces Christina Macasaet-Acaban as the new head of its Corporate & Commercial Practice Group. Christina was recently promoted to senior partner in Quisumbing Torres, and is the third woman to be senior partner in the history of the firm. 

 
She has 19 years of experience advising and representing multinational corporations engaged in a wide range of industries, including healthcare and pharmaceuticals, technology, media and telecommunications, outsourcing, real estate, consumer goods, and the financial sector, on domestic and cross-border transactions, with particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions, antitrust and competition, foreign investments and structuring, corporate reorganizations and restructuring, commercial agreements, and regulatory compliance.


Christina holds several other leadership positions in in the firm. She heads the Healthcare Industry Group, and the Competition Focus Group in Quisumbing Torres, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International. She is a member of Baker & McKenzie International’s Asia Pacific Healthcare Steering Committee, and the Asia Pacific Competition Steering Committee.


Christina is also the Knowledge Partner of Quisumbing Torres, and is a member of the firm's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.


Christina obtained her degrees in Bachelor of Laws (cum laude/third in graduating class) from the University of the Philippines, and BS Legal Management from the Ateneo de Manila University.
