DZP has advised Qair Polska, an independent renewable energy producer belonging to the global Qair group, on the conclusion of a 15-year cPPA (corporate Power Purchase Agreement) with Żabka Polska sp. z o.o., the largest chain of modern convenience stores in Poland.

The contract, which involves the financial settlement of renewable energy sales, will cover a total of nearly 1.7 TWh of energy from a wind park and a large-scale photovoltaic farm.

Thanks to the contract, our client will continue to pursue its strategy as an asset management company producing only green energy. Qair is thus strengthening its position on the market as a partner for large companies seeking to achieve energy security and climate neutrality.

The cPPA also ties in with the Żabka Group's decarbonisation targets, which include a 70% reduction in its stores' carbon footprint.

“We want to work with real leaders who think about the energy security of their businesses and will change the country's energy landscape together with us. Working with the Żabka Group is the best evidence that companies are increasingly looking for solutions to stabilise the business environment and see cPPAs as a healthy basis for growth.” said Krzysztof Wojtysiak, CEO of Qair Polska.

The client was advised by DZP's Rafał Hajduk, Partner, and Karina Krzoska, Associate, from the Infrastructure & Energy Practice.
