What types of collateral and security interests are available?
A wide range of types of collateral and security are available under Cyprus law. Collateral and security arrangements can be given over movable or immovable property. Such types include, among others, security over immovable property whose main type is a mortgage, pledges over shares or share certificates, bank account pledges, fixed and floating charges over any assets belonging to a person, and security assignments.
