DESTIN, Fla.
(May 24, 2017) – Statewide law firm Broad and Cassel today announced Destin Partner Ginger Barry Boyd has been named among the 2017 Class of Leaders in the Law from the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL).
Boyd was nominated for this honor by the Okaloosa County Chapter of FAWL for her professionalism, meaningful contributions to the community, and commitment to the advancement of women in the legal profession. She will be honored at The Florida Bar’s Annual Convention June 22.
Co-chair of the business litigation department, Boyd is a member of the Commercial Litigation, Construction Law and Litigation, Consumer Financial Services, and Labor and Employment Practice Groups. Boyd handles a wide variety of litigation matters, including real estate litigation, securities litigation, bankruptcy litigation, contracts litigation, foreclosures, employment litigation, intellectual property litigation and general business litigation matters. Boyd has represented private and public clients, including the State of Florida, in employment discrimination litigation matters.
Boyd is involved in a variety of professional and community organizations, including The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors; the Walton County Chamber of Commerce; Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women; Okaloosa-Walton County Bar Association; and Rotary International. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and received her juris doctor from Florida State University College of Law.
