The law firm, Pérez Correa González (PCG), appointed Miguel Ángel "Mike" Margáin, as its new Partner, who will specialize in the Intellectual Property practice. This appointment is aligned with the firm's strategy, focused on the current needs of the market and its clients, as well as the development plan of this practice area, whose growth will be strategic for the firm.

Mr. Margáin has 30 years of experience in Intellectual Property and Innovation protection and exploitation issues at national and international level. He served as chairman of the Intellectual Property Rights Experts Group (IPEG) of APEC, chaired the Madrid Assembly of WIPO and participated in the negotiation rounds of TIPAT - CPTPP, T-MEC (Mexico, United States, Canada) and the Mexico - European Union Free Trade Agreement.

His appointment comes after a successful career as an active member of several Intellectual Property Associations. He was President of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), and Vice President and Spokesperson of the Intellectual Property Rights Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico (AmCham). In January 2013, he was appointed by the President of Mexico as Director General of the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), a position he concluded in November 2018.
