We are increasingly working with property owners on sale and leaseback as a form of raising finance to grow their business.
We shared our experience from past projects at an online conference held on 22 September 2021 in cooperation with epravo.cz, tax advisors from tpa and INVESTIKA, the investment company. The conference could only take place virtually, but even so we managed to successfully connect the legal and tax perspectives and find out what interests the investor as a potential future buyer. Moreover, we were able to make the knowledge available to a larger number of participants than would have been possible in person.
We discussed the basic principles, how to structure such a transaction, what an owner should not forget if he wants to maximize the value of his property and some tax aspects. There were plenty of specific tips, but all panellists agreed that thorough preparation is the first key to success, and involving experienced advisors in the process from the beginning saves time and costs for all parties.
