We are proud to announce that Macarena Ravinet, Sergio Yávar y Marco Zavala have been appointed as partners at Guerrero Olivos. The three new partners have an outstanding track record and reputation in the local and international legal market.
Macarena Ravinet is member of the Corporate area. She focuses his practice in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and project finance. She graduated from Universidad de Los Andes School of Law with honors, and she has a Master of Laws at New York University. She was a foreign associate with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York, and she is Pro Bono´s Coordinator (since 2010).
Sergio Yávar is member of the dispute resolution group and he specializes in highly complex civil, commercial and arbitral trials, and restructuring and insolvency proceedings. He graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile School of Law. During 2011 he obtained a Master of Laws from Northwestern University School of Law, Chicago, USA and between 2008 and 2012 he was assistant professor of Procedural Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile Law School.
Marco Zavala is member of the Mining group and he will lead the New Business Development area. He graduated from Universidad Diego Portales School of Law. During 1993 he obtained a post graduate degree in Tax Law from Universidad de Santiago, and during 2005 he obtained an International Practice Diploma in International Joint Ventures, from College of Law in London. Also, between 2002 and 2009 he was the Head of Latin America Practice at Hammonds (currently Squire Patton Boggs-Europe), London, United Kingdom).
