On March 20, 2020 the National Hydrocarbons Commission (“CNH”) published in the Federal Official Gazette an administrative resolution declaring the suspension of all terms and proceedings before such authority from March 23 to April 19, 2020.
As per the resolution issued by CNH, all terms applicable to administrative procedures before CNH shall be extended and will continue running on April 20, 2020.
During the suspension timeframe referred herein, the official documents reception office from CNH will continue open as to receive any promotions and/or documents, from 09:00 AM to 13:00 PM. In any case, all promotions before CNH have to be submitted physically since CNH does not have an electronic website to receive promotions and/or documents.
Likewise, on March 24, 2020, the Energy Regulatory Commission (“CRE”) published an administrative resolution declaring suspension of terms and proceedings from March 24 to April 17, 2020.
As per CRE resolution, all requirements, promotions and documents filed during the above-referred suspension timeframe shall be understood as if they had been made on April 20, 2020. Suspension would include physical and electronic filings since as per such resolution, it applies to all promotions submitted and carried out before CRE.
The above determinations were made considering the sanitary emergency that Mexico and the world is facing in connection with the disease known as coronavirus or COVID-19.
As of this date the State-Owned Productive Companies, such as PEMEX and CFE, have not released resolutions determining the suspension of terms and proceedings.
The lawyers of the energy and infrastructure area at the firm are available for any questions or comments on the above.
