Aird & Berlis is pleased to announce that Jane Pepino has been recognized by the Greater Toronto Chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, for her extraordinary contributions to the local community.

Jane is this year’s recipient of the NAIOP Greater Toronto Community Service Award, which will be presented to her virtually during the 19th Annual REX Awards on October 1.

Over the years, Jane has supported dozens of community organizations and efforts. She is currently serving on the University of Toronto's Governing Council as a Lieutenant-Governor-in-Council, Executive Committee member, Business Board and Design Review Committee member and Vice-Chair.

Jane’s previous board service includes positions with Women’s College Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Sunnybrook & Women’s College Health Sciences Centre, Toronto Lands Corporation and LIFT Philanthropy Partners.

In addition, Jane served on the Canadian Advisory Council on the Status of Women, Toronto’s Metro Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children, the Toronto Mayor’s Committee on Employment Equity, Metropolitan Toronto Police Commission and the Ontario Human Rights Commission. She was also the founding chair of the Province of Ontario Women's Health Council.
