NEW INTERNAL LEADERSHIP SELECTED

DENVER (July 22, 2022) – Moye White LLP is pleased to announce it has named six partners to internal leadership positions to lead and manage the firm.

The 2022-2023 section leaders are:

Trial: 

  • Chair – Dean Richardson: As a trial lawyer with extensive litigation experience, Richardson has represented a variety of clients in commercial, cannabis, trade secret, real estate and franchise disputes. He offers counsel in cases involving business torts, director and officer defense, contracts, securities and franchise law. Richardson also protects and enforces client interests in shareholder disputes, and situations related to a breach of fiduciary duty. He has prosecuted and defended cases in state and federal courts in Colorado and throughout the country. Additionally, he serves as co-chair of the Cannabis Group.

  • Vice-Chair – David A. Laird: With over 20 years of trial experience in state and federal courts, Laird is driven to find just and efficient results for his clients. He has the knowledge, experience and determination to aggressively litigate disputes to a conclusion. Laird’s practice focuses on resolving lending and real estate disputes. He litigates a wide variety of complex contract and commercial disputes, business torts, uniform commercial code disputes, insurance coverage disputes, fiduciary claims, oil and gas matters, and landlord/tenant issues, including commercial foreclosures. With an eye toward efficient and positive solutions, Laird advocates for clients in all matters of the legal process. 

Business and Corporate: 

  • Chair – Craig J. Knobbe: Knobbe regularly advises clients on a variety of commercial legal issues in the areas of franchise and distribution, real estate, corporate, brewing and distilling, and trademark law. In his practice, he often acts as lead outside general counsel to his clients, helping them navigate through the complex legal issues in their transactions. Knobbe serves as co-chair of Moye White’s Brewing & Distilling Group.

  • Vice-Chair – Evelyn A. Ashley: With extensive legal knowledge, Ashley has helped clients grow, add value, navigate disputes and realize value from their work. She has a wide range of experience and brings a refreshing, results-focused, pragmatic approach to the practice of law. Ashley advises clients on matters including mergers and acquisitions, financing and investments, corporate governance, and intellectual property strategy, as well as protection, monetization and licensing. Additionally, she advises on commercial agreements and ventures, including manufacturing, distribution and agency, entity structure and related issues, corporate spinouts, joint ventures, and international transactions. 

Real Estate: 

  • Chair – Merc Pittinos: With a practice focused on helping clients resolve real estate disputes throughout Colorado, Pittinos has represented clients in jury trials, bench trials, and arbitration proceedings and has argued cases before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court and the Colorado Court of Appeals. He works with developers, landowners, landlords, brokers and homeowners to help clients resolve disputes involving real estate transactions, loans, leases, easements, covenants and boundaries. Pittinos has represented landlords in lease disputes; developers in breach of contract, construction and foreclosure actions; property owners in title and boundary disputes; and oil and gas companies in title, lease and joint operating agreement disputes.

  • Vice-Chair – Jake T. Tiernan: Tiernan’s practice focuses on real estate and transactional matters, such as reviewing commercial and residential loan documents, negotiating commercial and residential purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, demand letters and contracts.
