The firm has expanded its tax and customs litigation practice through the addition of experienced practitioner Gloria Gurbista as partner.

"We are proud to welcome Gloria to our firm," said Cristian Mitrani, co-founding partner. "Gloria adds to our tax and customs litigation practice her vast experience and seniority acquired in a prestigious firm. This strengthens our team in a practice area that will be growing in the immediate future, as a result of the unprecedented tax demands from governments at all levels".

Prior to joining the firm, Gloria was a partner at specialized tax firm Teijeiro y Ballone Abogados, where she headed its tax and customs litigation practice. Gloria has broad experience in the design and implementation of defence strategies for complex tax litigation. She is also an expert on provincial and municipal taxation, with special emphasis on gross turnover tax and municipal taxes. She has been repeatedly listed as a recommended practitioner by several renowned legal publications, including International Tax Review (Tax Controversy Leader and Women in Tax), Best Lawyers and Chambers & Partners.

The firm’s tax team now includes two highly regarded former judges, two full-time partners, and six associates.

Mitrani Caballero has long been at the forefront of recruiting, retaining and advancing the careers of women in the law. Gloria becomes our 13th female partner. With women comprising nearly 40% of its partnership, Mitrani Caballero continues to be the firm with the highest number of women partners in Argentina.

Gloria’s arrival is consistent with our growth strategy and ratifies Mitrani Caballero’s positioning as one of Argentina’s leading firms. Even in these challenging times, we continue to believe that, based on an effective combination of talent and expertise, the firm can continue expanding our services to address all of our clients’ legal needs.
