In line with international standards, Martínez de Hoz & Rueda (MHR) has announced a new corporate governance structure and authorities effective as of August 1, 2023, for the 2023/2025 period.

The new corporate governance structure consists of a Chairman, a Managing Partner, and an Executive Committee responsible for the firm's strategy and policies, comprised of the Managing Partner and four partners.

The partners’ meeting unanimously appointed José A. Martínez de Hoz as Chairman and representative of the firm, Jimena Vega Olmos as Managing Partner, and Juan Cruz Azzarri, José Martínez de Hoz (nieto), Pablo Rueda and Fernando Zoppi as members of the Executive Committee.

The new corporate governance structure is based on MHR's commitment to professionalism, excellence and transparency, and the consensus among partners regarding the firm's strategic direction. The founding partners trust that the new corporate governance structure will enhance MHR's long-term strategy, contribute to the development of new leaders, and foster the interest of young professionals in pursuing a career within the firm—all of which will benefit MHR's clients.

José Martínez de Hoz stated: "The announced structure reflects the experience and practice of recent years and represents an essential step in our growth towards a more advanced institutionalized model. Since its founding, MHR has reaffirmed its indisputable leadership in areas such as energy, while also growing and establishing itself as a competitive participant among leading firms in other areas such as banking & finance and capital markets, M&A, infrastructure, project finance, and international arbitration, with a commitment to continue growing."

Jimena Vega Olmos expressed: "MHR is a dynamic and modern law firm that relies on a culture of teamwork among partners and associates. In these early years, we have been able to consolidate the firm's leadership in various areas and significantly grow in others. The challenge for the coming years is to maintain the path of growth while preserving the essence and culture of the firm, in order to continue supporting our clients in their projects in the country and the region. We are convinced that the new governance structure will be essential in this journey."
