Machado Associados advises CCR group in strategic agreement with Alelo
Negotiation and formalization of the operational agreements for the automatic collection of toll prices entered between concessionaires of CCR group and Alelo
São Paulo, May 11, 2018 – Machado Associados advised CCR group in the negotiation and formalization of the operational agreements for the automatic collection of toll prices entered with Alelo, a flag specialized in benefits for the segments of meals, culture, transportation, and health which is part of Elo Participações, controlled by Banco do Brasil and Bradesco.
On behalf of CCR group, the agreements were entered by the concessionaires AutoBan, ViaOeste, RodoAnel, SPVias, and Renovias, which administer highways in the State of São Paulo, and NovaDutra, RodoNorte, MSVia, ViaLagos and ViaRio, which administer federal highways.
The operational agreements have a complex arrangement of provisions that involve since a significant technical content in respect to the technology used in the electronic collection of tollprices, until a robust financial structure so that the user/operator/concessionaire pay flow is made without affecting the activities of the concessionaires.
In addition, the agreements have strategic value for the CCR group and Alelo, once, on one side, it implies the fulfillment of regulatory obligations by the concessionaires and, on the other, allows Alelo to expand its business in the segment of electronic collection of amounts.
With the agreements, Alelo will join other operators of the electronic collection that maintain operational agreements with concessionaires of CCR group, such as Sem Parar, ConectCar and Move Mais, agreements that also counted with the participation of Machado Associados as advisor of CCR group.
The negotiation and formalization of the operational agreements resulted from efforts of a multidisciplinary team of CCR group, led by Ms. Renata Lacerda, in respect to the concessionaries of state highways of São Paulo, and by Mr. Daniel Salomoni, in respect to the concessionaries of federal highways. The partner Lisiane B. H. Menossi Pace and the lawyer Caio Fink Fernandes, members of Machado Associados, were responsible for advising the grupo CCR. And Alelo was advised by Ms. Fernanda Maria Blumer Lavorenti.
